They kept the FM radio feature, they started the 5 camera battle with the first one in the V40 and I love the clean feel of this device in my hand. There is also no need to download a launcher because this one does it the way read more. I just upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S8. So far, this phone is even better than my old G5 and I like it better than my S8. It runs really smooth. Everything about it just feels smooth and easy. It's actually prett read more. Always been a Samsung user. Just went from a Note 9 to this.
Was skeptical at first After I see that this phone has everything even the newest samsung phones. My note 9 had over apps, this one has I'm done with companies that preload your phone with useless background read more. Happy with this phone. Easy to use. Love the camera. Glad I got this one! And the Verizon rep was great, helping me figure out which phone and needed changes to my plan.
So glad I had such a good experience. I'm happy to say I made a great choice! The battery lasts forever. It took a little while to get used to the slightly different notification sounds. It still has the knock on feature, which I like. I'm sorry that the cables from the LG V1 read more. I really love this phone. I don't understand why people sleep on LG so much. This has twice the battery life of the iPhone 11, 3 16 megapixel cameras instead of 12, and it's a bigger phone. This phone has, so far, done everything I asked of it.
I really like that they added screen recording and the read more. Nice phone with some good heft and feels pretty solid. Although an eternal Samsung fan, I have always loved LG's camera controls and options. But, alas, such excitement is tempered by those pesky pockets and the sorry fact that phones are hampered by the need to fit into them. Fortunately, though, you do have a few options while you await the happy day when it's too hot to wear clothing and your phone addiction will be free to grow to its natural dimensions.
One would be to wait a few months for Huawei or Samsung to come out with their pocket-sized folding phones, the Mate X and the Galaxy Fold respectively, buy one, and then cross your fingers that the problems that have beset them national security bans and dodgy screens , respectively don't stand between you and your addiction. Another way would be simply to buy a second phone, tape it to your first phone, and feed your growing addiction that way. And why stop at two? With enough tape, you could join three or four phones together like an accordion that you flop open to get your fix.
LG's V50 ThinQ comes with a second screen that you can attach to double your phone fun. The main screen on the LG V50 is pretty fancy. It's a x pixel, 6. The second screen, which is built into the case and snaps onto the V50 the way any phone case does, isn't quite so fancy. It's a x , 6. Interestingly, however, although it's smaller and less sharp than the main screen it has a sharpness of pixels per inch, versus ppi for the main screen , you can use the two of them fairly interchangeably without noticing much difference other than in the weight and balance of the phone.
Sometimes you'll find yourself using the second display as if it's a second phone that just happens to be sitting next to your first phone. Each display has a home screen, and each appears to run apps completely independently, even though all the apps are of course all running on the V What you're looking at is not the phone's screen, but the slightly smaller screen in the case.

Some apps, such as Google Chrome, will let you open two windows at once, one on each screen, so you really do feel like you have two phones taped together. But other apps, such as Gmail, will jump from one screen to the other the moment you go to open them twice, jolting you back to the reality that, no, you don't actually have two phones side by side. You just have the one phone with two displays. In apps where you need to type, such as Gmail or Chrome which I am using now to type this review , you can set the on-screen keyboard so it appears on one screen, while the app itself appears on the other screen.
That may not sound very fancy, but for apps such as my newspaper's web-based content management system, it makes all the difference in the world. I'm writing this review on a Dual Screen as I sit here on the bus, and I have to say it's the best experience I've ever had trying to do my actual day job using only a phone. Our CMS is nearly impossible to use on a normal phone because the keyboard takes up to 40 per cent of the available space. But with the V50 in landscape mode, the app on one screen and the keyboard on the other, it's actually quite good. It's not as good as a tablet or laptop, but it's far better than being stuck with only a phone.
And if you're into games, the Dual Screen has something to offer, too.
LG's V50 ThinQ's dual screen makes it stand out, but like 5G it's not without its issues.
With some but, oddly, not all games that support physical game pads, you can use an LG game pad app on one screen to control a game running on the other. At times the V50 feels like two separate phones, side by side. It's not quite as good as a physical, tactile game pad, but it does have some haptic feedback to partly make up for the loss of tactility and, again, it's a good deal better than nothing at all. There are some ways, however, in which this dual-display phone is every bit as stupid as it sounds. The case clicks open to only two screen positions, neither of which is much good.

The half-open position is too close to 90 degrees to use like a notebook PC — it could do with another 10 or 15 degrees so one screen is facing you when the phone is on your lap or on a desk — and the fully open position doesn't sit flat. It may seem to you like you've got a second phone taped to your first one, but boy oh boy that second phone is wobbly. Also, turning on the second screen absolutely kills the batteries.
Obviously it depends on what you're doing with the phone, but with two screens in operation, you can see the battery drop by 20 per cent an hour or more.
