Android 10, it's fast, nice screen, every app I've tried works no problem, and it looks good. MIUI works well and has a few handy enhancements, plus looks a lot nicer than stock Android. The pop up camera works fine but is a bit annoying, as if you get a video call it will open in your pocket. The key problem I have with this phone is unlocking it. The in-screen fingerprint reader is fairly poor - if you have perfectly clean hands and get your finger perfectly on the sensor it works about three times slower than a hardware fingerprint reader.

Coupled with that is MIUI disables the Android 10 smart lock, so you can't keep the phone unlocked at home or at work based on WiFi or bluetooth devices - it only supports Xiaomi branded bluetooth devices to unlock. Others I've talked to with the same phone don't have as much of a problem as me, or perhaps are more patient.

Pattern lock requires you to swipe up to get to the pattern, then do the pattern, which seems like a pointless additional motion to unlock the phone, but if fingerprint unlock continues to bug me I might use that, or disable locking completely. Also, the phone locks as soon as the screen goes off, unlike my old phone which you could set a timeout which also would've mitigated this problem.

All in all I wish I'd read about this before I bought the phone, because if I'd known about this I wouldn't have purchased it. I'm happy with MIUI and Xiaomi, it's the in-screen fingerprint reader that bugs me, coupled with the no smart lock. The Xiaomi Mi 9T has been an awesome replacement for my aging Mi 5. The value you get in this featureful phone is second to none. The included 2 year warranty is an added bonus. Super phone with awesome features. Great value for money.

Cool pop up camera with led gives a great look. Glacier Blue colour is eye catching. Upgraded from an ageing HTC. Easy upgrade with impressive performance improvement particularly like the battery capacity of 4, mah meaning it lasts up to a couple of days in my normal use.

This has been the best mid range I have used so far. It surely competes with many high end devices out there. A beautiful amoled display without a stupid notch, snapdragon combined with 6gb of RAM and gb storage, shockingly stunning cameras. Did not expect them to be that good in this price range honestly. Front camera could be a bit better. If you throw Gcam on it, Its on another level. Amazing battery life with that mah battery in it. Overall its more than value for money.

Really happy with the product. My pixel was given me bother so bought the Mi 9T and love it. Great screen and brilliant battery life, only thing I could fault is low light photography, but otherwise the camera is great. Get a decent case for it though it's slippery without it, comes with a case in the box but it's thin and won't offer much protection. Software isn't the pure Android experience but it's fast and does the job.

O and it has a headphone jack which is a real bonus, I hate Bluetooth headphones. Bought this two weeks ago, got it going on one evening, all my apps and accounts setup and have not looked back.

Fingerprint login is handy, some times a bit sluggish but has not annoyed me so far. I changed from a high end Samsung and you definitely get a lot of value for the money. Higher specs and half the price. Will recommend this to all of my friends now. I chose this one over the Redmi Note 7 because of the better screen and have not regretted it.
